The renovation project of the “Factoria” business center aimed to transform the entire business park area into a comfortable pedestrian-friendly environment.
Today, people take priority over cars, so it was decided to relocate most of the surface parking to a separate mechanized parking facility.
The removal of curbs and vertical zoning created a barrier-free space—a unified surface throughout the business park. Zoning was preserved but implemented through different types and colors of paving, as well as a navigation system.
A pedestrian gallery was formed along the main axis of the area. Numerous benches were added, making the business park more attractive not only for regular visitors but also for residents of nearby neighborhoods.
Retail stores and dining establishments were placed on the ground floors. Large floor-to-ceiling windows integrated the street with these public spaces, eliminating yet another “barrier.”
