SVOBODA MALL Multifunctional Center
Year: 2017
Location: Moscow
Inspired by the history of aviation and the sleek design of aircraft, the shopping center features smooth, flowing, and dynamic forms. Reminiscent of airplane wings, its rounded corners create a calm and visually pleasing appearance. The extensive use of glass enhances the building’s sense of lightness and weightlessness, while sophisticated architectural lighting adds a festive element, attracting visitors year-round.
Maintaining a balanced rhythm, proportions, and forms, the recessed façade elements not only emphasize the fluid lines of the surrounding pathways but also highlight the futuristic character of the building. The first two floors, set behind columns, are entirely glass with thin joints, designed to glow brightly at night, drawing attention with their festive and elegant ambiance.
Ceramic panels in a natural color palette break conventional retail architecture stereotypes, giving the center a cozy and inviting look. Additional landscaped greenery creates an oasis-like effect, making the space an attractive destination in any season.
